Black owned HR company that was founded during the peak of Covid and the George Floyd murder in 2020. During this time many black working professionals realised that they couldn't talk to their leadership and HR about how they were feeling during this time. It further exposed the fact that many black working professionals did not feel comfortable going to their HR and were not always confident in the advice they would get. Our founder Velisa Williams who has over 10 years' experience realised this and blackandHR was born.

Blue Rhythm was formed by a collective of creatives (spanning music, film, and television) with a deep aspiration to develop a therapy platform specialised to serve the unique needs of people from all creative backgrounds. From helping loved ones overcome addiction, to guiding team members through challenging times, we have personally witnessed the transformative power of mental health support. From these experiences we found one crucial paint point: finding the right person to support you is essential, but incredibly difficult. With thousands of therapists out there, finding your match can be an unexpected obstacle, when all you want is to feel better. To make matters worse, creative minds and lives often come with their own set of unique hurdles. While mental health issues can affect anyone, creatives are at least 3x more likely to experience feelings of anxiety and depression.
Whether you are a professional musician, actor, designer, manager, or spend your free time chasing your creative passions, your creative nature is part of you. Blue Rhythm understands this intrinsic connection, and for all the good that it does, we also recognise it can, at times, make things worse. From our research and experience we believe there are two key elements needed in order to effectively support creatives in therapy. First and foremost your therapist needs to be an expert in helping you work through issues such as anxiety, depression, burnout, and imposter syndrome, to name a few. The second element is the need for that same therapist to understand how your creative mind and work influences your overall well-being.
Our mission is to give creatives a way forward, ensuring you have comprehensive support tailored to your unique needs. Therapy shouldn't have a one size fits all approach, and specialised support shouldn't be a luxury. We challenge the notion that finding your 'perfect match' should cost more or require endless research and testing. Leave the grunt work to us - finding those people who share your experience, who understand your challenges, and who are ready to help you take the first step.

Qube is the world’s first members-only studio for content creators. We provide the space, facilities and network needed to create high-quality content effortlessly. A home for a new generation of creator.
Home to over 60 purpose-built studios across 2 sites, our members share by-the-hour access to world class facilities across music, podcast, media and film amidst a community of inspired creators.
Our founders met in a dingy studio basement back in 2017. At the time, Amin Hamzianpour and Nicholas Sonuga were both pursuing careers as producers and songwriters. In-between countless hours of bouncing stems and writing melodies, they cultivated a friendship chatting away in a cramped kitchen about their struggles to find the perfect snare sample.
During this period, they started exploring an alternative way of working. One that offered real solutions to the challenges they were both facing.
As creatives, we often feel isolated and even introverts benefit from a little comradery between flow states. So they set out to build a community of like-minded creators, those that would gain from an inspiring and collaborative place to forge their life’s work.

We are the world’s largest professional community of music managers.
Since its inception in 1992, the MMF has worked hard to educate, inform and represent UK managers as well as offering a network through which managers can share experiences, opportunities and information.
Our membership stands at over 1500 managers based in the UK with global businesses and a wider network of over 2700 managers globally.
Our core purpose is to:
● Educate: We support managers’ continuous professional development within an evolving music industry.
● Innovate: We create and highlight opportunities to develop and grow artist businesses.
● Advocate: We provide a collective voice and leadership to affect change for a transparent and fairer music industry for artists and their fans.
The MMF engages, advises and lobbies industry associates and wider industry on issues that are relevant to managers. We continue to recruit members and grow our network so we are truly representative of the wider management community. The MMF is a founding member of UK Music, the European Music Managers Alliance (EMMA), the Council of Music Makers (CMM) and Live Music Industry Venues & Entertainment (LIVE).
In 2022 we published the Essentials of Music Management book.
We also co-host the annual Artist and Manager Awards with the Featured Artists Coalition.
THE TOP PRIORITIES OF MMF ARE: Educating the world on the role of the music manager: help people understand the increasingly important role of the manager, how it is changing and what it is we do.
Professional development: supporting our members in developing their knowledge and skills as music managers through formal courses and more focused workshops and seminars Investment into Music Industry: encourage more investment into manager and artists’ businesses, including our Accelerator For Music Managers Programme, our ReBuild Fund for COVID-19 support, and artist investment opportunities such as labels, distributors, Help Musicians UK, PRS for Music, SME funding and Arts Council grants.
Representation: Campaigning on behalf of our members to affect change.
Our Campaigns include:
Streaming – Our report Dissecting the Digital Dollar documents how streaming services are licensed by the music industry, why they are licensed that way and to inform debate around the evolving streaming sector. We actively encourage the industry to be transparent and ask for fair, industry wide equitable payments for artists.
Secondary Ticketing – The MMF were founder members of and support the FanFair Alliance, a campaign uniting fans, music businesses and artist against online ticket touting.
Mental Health – support managers in taking care of their own mental health and that of their artists signposting to professional advice as appropriate. We have recently re-published the Music Manager’s Guide to Mental Health and produced a report on digital burnout. Collective Digital Licensing – hold those who collect artist and songwriters royalties to account, explore solutions to the data challenge to encourage innovation and growth.
Equality & Diversity Campaigns – we work with organisations that celebrate equality and diversity within the music industry, including Love Music Hate Racism and Pride in Music. We hold regular open conversation sessions about racism and other forms of discrimination in the industry through our MMF Unite project with Nadu Placca, The Zoo XYZ, and are a strategic partner of PiPA (Parents and Carers in Performing Arts), who campaign to enable and empower parents, carers and employers to achieve sustainable change in attitudes and practices in order to attract, support and retain a more diverse and flexible workforce.

Nathaniel G Oke PgDip
Nathaniel G Oke is a trained psychotherapist and has been a registered member of the British Association of Counselling Psychotherapy (BACP), for over 15 years.
Nathaniel qualified with a Diploma in Counselling Skills in 2008 and earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from London Southbank University in 2014.
Nathaniel has a passion for young people and it was this passion which encouraged him to develop the Thoughtfeeder project in 2005, funded by Lambeth Council. Through this project Nathaniel used his passion for writing and performing poetry to work with local youths from difficult backgrounds using poetry as a pathway to expression and creativity and a conduit of healing wounds otherwise buried. The cathartic nature of the project proved popular as the young people reported finding their voices. The Thoughtfeeder project ran successfully for two years, engaging over 100 young people. In 2017, Nathaniel founded Talking Therapy Clinic Ltd, a company that deals with providing one to one counselling and psychotherapy to all ages and groups.
Talking Therapy Clinic also provides general and bespoke workshops and training for professionals in a myriad of fields using counselling skills and principles to improve professionals’ ability in building relationships with their service users.
Nathaniel also works as a private therapist, dealing with pertinent mental and emotional issues. He has spearheaded a movement of inclusivity in the therapy space by speaking openly about the need for more Black therapists to attend to the growing number of Black clients seeking out therapy in recent years.
Nathaniel emerges as an anomaly in his field, offering invaluable insights and perspectives. As a Black male psychotherapist, Nathaniel brings authenticity, relatability, and a profound understanding of the challenges faced by Black individuals. His culturally competent approach enables him to address the intersectionality of race, gender, and identity, leading to more impactful and transformative therapeutic experiences for his clients. Nathaniel believes that by embracing and valuing the expertise of Black mental health professionals, we can foster a more inclusive and supportive mental health landscape that empowers Black individuals to thrive and heal.
In 2020, Nathaniel started The BMG (Black Men’s Group) in conjunction with the charity RESET MH, a mental health support group for Black men to explore and support issues unique to the Black experience. This group continues to support Black men on a once weekly basis in an online support group.
Not one to shy away from public speaking, Nathaniel enjoys participating in speaking engagements, with organisations and institutions with his most notable talks being at the House of Lords (March 2017) and more recently at the Houses of Parliament (November 2017), where Nathaniel was invited to deliver a speech on Mental Health amongst men, to commemorate International Men’s Day in 2017.
